Description:	This powerhouse red represents Sardinia's version of Châteauneuf du Pape. It is composed of 90% Cannonau (known as the Grenache/Garnacha grape anywhere else) and 5% each of carignano and bovale sardo. It boasts sweet black cherry interwoven with notes of pepper, Provençal herbs, spice box, and licorice as well as superb texture and depth. It is rich and velvety on the palate, leaving behind layers of personality and lively fruits. Antonio Argiolas is 97 years old, but still takes an active part in the running of the 750-acre family estate he founded in 1930!
