| Description: |
Revitalized 67-year-old vines, combined with vines planted in 1991, offer a beautiful combination of old and newer vine fruit. This wine is a wonderful example of a Zinfandel with the right balance, spice, and fruit without becoming jammy or overly dense in any way. This wine has a wonderful dusty tannin quality brightened with wild raspberry, baking spices, and mellow chocolate in the background. This is a great everday wine to drink with a vast spectrum of food pairings. With such brightness of fruit the wine is great all by itself, however there are wonderful hints of black licorice and tea which really balances out the fruit and makes it a great match with heavier/more pepper oriented dishes such as a grilled filet. |
